Our principal dentist, Dr Jan Kossyrev (DEN0001592239), founded Miami One Dental in 2017 after settling on the Gold Coast in 2001. He studied at Griffith University, completing a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dentistry and a Graduate Diploma in Dentistry in 2010 and received Academic Excellence awards during his training.
Jan grew up in Russia, where dental visits weren’t part of everyday life, and has since had his own experience with extractions, root canals and veneers as a patient. That background shapes how he approaches each appointment, taking time to explain treatment and working at a pace that suits the person in the chair, particularly for patients who feel nervous about dental visits.
